One of the best-- very informative.
This book is fantastic. I got my first Pom earlier this year, and have been collecting a library of Pom books. This one is by far the best. It has pretty much everything you need to know about owning & caring for a Pom. Every once in a while I cross reference to another Pom book, but generally this one is right on with what is best & most up to date! Very informative without being too biased, too.

Life saver!!!
I ordered this book a couple weeks after rescuing a seven month old pomeranian puppy. This book was a life saver!!! The information about house training was fantastic. Although the chapters about deciding on the breed and finding a breeder in the beginning of the book came a little to late for me, it would have been very useful. Whether you already have a pom, or are just thinking about it, I highly recommend getting this book!!

A good and informative book
In June of this year my husband got me a 3 mo. old pom for my birthday. I fell in love at first sight, but up until this point I'd always been a human society adopter and had never gotten a dog younger than 1 1/2 old. This book was very helpful in unraveling some of the quirks of the breed, explaining some things to watch out for and special tips to training a pom. Some of it was also a bit no brainer or could be applied to any dog, but it was still insightful in many other areas. With some help from this the fuzzball is well on her way to being trained, at about 5 1/2 months she was completely potty trained which was FABULOUS because my steam cleaner was getting a bit worn out =P. I would recommend this for new owners but just don't treat it like the Pomeranian bible. A bit of common sense mixed with educated information can go a long way with your new best friend.

Wonderful book on Pomeranians!
I am a very detail-oriented person, and this book answered all of my questions and some I wouldn't have known to have! I feel well-prepared for my new pom and am confident I can make informed decisions about the health, safety, and happiness of my pup. The pictures are wonderful too - I'm sure this book would already be dog-eared (no pun intended) if it wasn't a hardcover!

Very informative book.
I would reccomend this book for to any pomeranian puppy or dog owner who wants to groom, or train there pup or dog. I have tried many ideas from this book and they work. My Pomeranian is a 4 mo old female and at 8 weeks old she new and responded well to the commands, sit, lie down, get down, no and potty. She is still in trianing which we do at home with her. this book also helped us learn other ways to housebreak and she is totally housebroken now.

i rate this book as ok because it was a good overall book, but not very informative about grooming at all. i was looking for a book about how to groom your dog at home as much as possible. also the correct way to do this. needless to say this book did not help.

I have also heard that sometimes a pomeranians coat will not grow and in that case they are just not show quality, but her ears seem a little big for a pom, and she shakes a lot – like a chihuahua. So I would love to hear some opinions from some people that know any thing about pomeranians, chihuahuas, or pom/chis. Three months ago I purchased what I was told was a full blooded pomeranian, she was so small she fit in the palm of my hand so there was no way I could tell at that time. My mom just doesn’t want me to spend that much on the puppy, I have no idea why, that’s just one of her rules, I can’t do anything about it. Another one of her rules is that if I want to get a dog I have to get a puppy 8-12 weeks old, so there is... If you are a dog owner that has a toy puppy mix or toy puppy (8-12 weeks old) and you live in or near any of the following, then please leave your email and I will contact you straight away. Another dog question Well, my mom has agreed to let me get a dog if I can find a free or cheap (50-60 dollars) toy puppy, 8-12 weeks old. Okay first, this question was for people who are looking for a good home for their toy/toy mix puppy that they can’t keep, there are a lot of people out there who can’t afford their puppies or that are moving and can’t take them with them. I have looked up pictures of pom/chis and she looks a lot like them, but I haven’t found any that look quite like her. I have a little pom girl who is incredibly affectionate, and since I socialized her well from an early age, she doesn’t have the aggressiveness that some small dogs have (only being affectionate toward their owner and nippy/shy toward others).
